About me
I am a Clinical Psychotherapist and Registered Psychologist with over 30 years’ experience providing psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups across the lifespan. I hold a Master of Applied Psychology and am fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and an APS-approved supervisor.
I am the founding Principal Psychologist at Psychmatters – Centre for Psychological Health in Concord, where I provide comprehensive psychological care using approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy, EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, Reality Therapy, and Couples Therapy. I also offer psychometric assessments, group therapy, crisis counselling, and telehealth services.
My professional background spans private practice, public health, community justice, addiction services, eating disorder programs, and trauma-focused work. I have extensive experience working with complex presentations including trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, addiction, mood disorders, and life transitions. I am also accredited to provide services under Better Access, Victims Services, WorkCover/CTP (SIRA), and Employee Assistance Programs.
In addition to clinical work, I have held leadership roles within the APS, supervised provisional psychologists, coordinated multidisciplinary teams, facilitated group programs, and contributed to tertiary education and professional training.
I am fluent in English and Turkish, and workable understanding of French, Spanish and Italian. I bring a culturally sensitive, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy, supporting clients to achieve meaningful and lasting change.
